Welcome to the New Year! We are so excited to enter 2020 and look forward to what it will bring.

A New Year brings new opportunities to set goals, which is exactly what the SRA’s intent is for the New Year. The SRA has plans to expand SRT and SPIRIT even further. You can expect more:

  • a more visible consulting line through SRTCi;
  • new certification standards and a more streamlined process; as well as
  • a more focused vision with greater transparency helping us move into the future!

As our global community grows, we are excited to invite new and existing community members to become actively involved. You make a difference! Whether in your corner of the world supporting your local SRT community or electronically by volunteering for the many SRA opportunities (i.e., translation teams, the Board of Directors, one of the many committees, and more). Each one of you contributes in your way with love, talent, and time to make the SRA a successful worldwide organization.

We set our intent that 2020 will manifest an amazing time of love and growth in the SRA and throughout our loving community. We would not be able to succeed without you and SPIRIT working in and through each and every one of you. From all of us at the SRA Office, thank you for your continued support, kindness, and dedication.

Dear SRT Community,

I want to thank each and every one of you for your patience in the last seven months. The path to a new and improved certification has been a long journey. As many of you know, Certification reopened on the first of December 2015. Since that day my desk has been a whirlwind of activity. Many of you have taken the time to write me with your questions and comments and I am very appreciative of them. All of your comments address key concerns numerous community members have expressed. Because they are so pertinent, I thought they should be shared with everyone. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions and concerns in a question and answer format.

My first six months here as Certification Coordinator has been a blessing and I am so happy that the community has been very helpful and willing to learn with me. I hope the next six months are just as enlightening! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email me at any time at certification@spiritualresponse.com.

Each of the new forms were reviewed extensively. New things were added to fit the new requirements and lots of old things were taken out or rewritten for the ease of understanding. The new applications are no more than three pages and the Initial Consultant application has only five questions on it! If ever you get confused about what a question is asking, you can send me an email or call me, I am happy to help.

When the English versions of the new applications were finished they were sent out to all the translators right away. There are numerous documents that need to be translated and not always enough people to help with the work. As they are completed and put together they will be sent out to those who would like them. If you would like to volunteer to help with translations, please contact Amy at a.robertson@spiritualresponse.com

It might be easier, but so much has been changed in certification that the old documents are no longer valid or relevant. The old documents are missing key and essential items that will help the committee determine if it is the best for someone to be certified. By using the old documents, it would delay the committee from certifying you and waste your time. The new documents are shorter and easier to complete, making the certification process quicker.

You can find our new requirement diagrams for every certification level here. But to give you a brief overview you need to have taken the Basic and Advanced SRT class, do 72 full clearings, take Intensive Skills Class, and be subscribed to the Ascension for a full year before applying. Please take a look at the Diagrams for more information.

You can use the link above to gain access to the requirements diagrams for SRT Teacher. To begin the process of becoming a SRT Teacher you must be a Certified Consultant for two years or more. Please make sure you meet this requirement before trying to apply as a teacher.

When you first apply as a SRT Consultant, SRT Teacher, or SpR teacher, there is a one-time non-refundable $50 USD application fee. Renewal applications do not require this fee. After a practitioner is certified they must pay the annual (yearly) affiliation fee for their level. Consultants pay $155 USD, SRT Teachers pay $240 USD, and teachers certified in both SpR and SRT pay $290 USD (this covers both the SpR and SRT Teacher certification). Check with the SRA office for the price in your country.

We accept the following forms of payment: PayPal using several major credit cards (on our website), check or international money order, and Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards for fees paid directly through the SRA office.

We ask that you DO NOT prepay your affiliation fee before you become certified. There is the possibility that your certification could be delayed for one reason or another. Prepaying your affiliation dues causes more processing time and could delay your application being sent to the certification committee. Your individual fee will be connected to your personal certification date. Along with your certificate, you will receive a billing for the first year’s fee and payment is due within thirty (30) days of billing. At each annual anniversary date you will receive a bill for the next twelve months’ fee.

No, the CD’s are not meant to substitute taking a basic and advanced class. The CDs are only available to students who have completed the Basic and Advanced courses. They are audio recordings of classes that were taught previously and are a review tool only. The recordings can be helpful for those who have already taken the classes and would like to refresh the knowledge they absorbed in class. In the classes you gain firsthand experience and get to practice with the help of a certified SRT Teacher. Classes are offered all over the world and if you need help finding one in your area please go to our website or call the office.

Of Course! If you decide to do your recording in a language other than English, we ask that you include a transcript of the recording. We can have the transcript translated into English, but that can add processing time to your application. To save time you could have a friend or professional translator translate it into English for you.

For Initial consultants 72 full clearings are required (It averages out to be approximately three clearings a month over two years). All other levels of certification require 72 full clearings required in person and on the phone and 24 full clearings required for absentee/anonymous (approximately four clearings a month over two years). There are no limits if you wish to do more. These full clearings can be completed in person, on the phone, Skype, email, and as absentee, or anonymous. It can include clearing for family, friends, significant others, yourself, your workplace, co‐workers, neighbors, and community. For absentee and anonymous you can also clear for remote/random groups, people, places, or situations that you may have heard or read about, and for animals (maximum of 10%). This allows you to feel confident with your work and provides the association with the knowledge that you have well rounded skills.

We ask that you keep some kind of record for yourself. We WILL NOT ask for copies of your records, they are for your personal tracking so you may know if you qualify for certification or not. Your records can be as detailed or as plain as you like, you are the only one that is going to see them.

Continuing Education Classes are for those certified that have already taken Intensive Skills twice while certified. These classes cover a range of topics and are offered by teachers who have had their class material approved. Anyone may take a CEC class if they like. It is only the certified that qualify receive the CEC credits required for recertification. Please contact the office for the most up to date listing of classes.

Long term teachers are teachers that have gone through multiple renewal cycles. In the past long term teachers were allowed to write an intent to recertify letter instead of having to complete all of the application materials for a fifth or sixth time. With the new certification system in place the committee felt that all current teachers, long time or new, should complete the new applications. The committee wants to make sure everyone is aware of the new system and the new qualifications. Long term teachers are a valuable structure in our community. The committee and board are in the process of coming up with a new benefit to reflect the appreciation felt for them. More information will be available once it has been decided.

After you turn in all of the required items of your application (including teacher reviews/recommendations sent in by your teacher) to the certification coordinator, she will send everything to the certification committee. Each member of the certification committee will review and evaluate your application and determine – with SPIRIT’s help — if you are ready to be presented to the SRA Board of Directors for certification. After the Board meeting they will let the certification coordinator know who is newly certified and who needs to work on some things before their application can be sent in for review again. The applicants are then notified of the decision via e-mail.

The committee had a list of questions they work from to make sure an applicant is ready and able to fill the need of being a certified individual. To read the individual questions, please click here.
